High flying

Capturing this was indeed a challenge because they change their orientation very swiftly and by the time I get to click, they are already out of focus. I'm not sure whether this is an Eagle, Kite or anything else. Do post a comment if you can identify this one. This one was circling the skies above the Arabian sea during the wonderful boat ride from Elephanta Caves back to Gateway of India in Mumbai.

I thought of doing some branding for myself! Good Bye 2007!

A Good Bye and Thanks to 2007 for all the memorable moments throughout the year.

A Very Happy and Prosperous 2008 to all of you!

Amchi Mumbai! A view of the Sun descending behind the busy city of Mumbai, from The Arabian Sea, on the way back from Elephanta caves on a boat. This was my first time in Mumbai. It was a nice time spent going around the city. Later, I got a chance to go tandem paragliding in Panchgani, on the way to Mahabaleshwar. It was the best adventurous experience I've ever had. Nirvana Adventures is one club which I know of in case you are keen about paragliding. It costs about 1200 Indian Rupees for a 8-10 minute ride in Panchgani. You should be lucky enough for the wind currents to be strong and not to make you land in a paddy field and instead fly really high.

A quick re-cap of me in 2007:

  • This year started off with the beginning of my 6th Semester Masters of Computer Applications course which was the last semester I spent in R.V College of Engineering, which even marked the completion of the course. I'm grateful to all my lecturers and thankful to all my friends for the wonderful 3 years. Time really flies!
  • An exciting and challenging internship with Yahoo! is something which gave me a chance to learn lot of things
  • The beginning of a new phase in life was starting my career as a full-time employee with Yahoo!
  • Travelling is a wonderful experience which opens up one's mind - I travelled to Kerala, Sunnyvale, San Francisco, Chicago, Bangkok & Mumbai this year.
  • Movies - I watched lot of movies and still have "Roman Holiday" in the queue since 3 months after I borrowed the movie from my friend, which I hope to watch sometime this year :-)

Once again, a very happy & prosperous new year to all!
